Yeah I agree it was very disturbing, but I hated the sequel - seemed a bit too much imo

it was sad but the second book was basically pathetic....it made it seem like his life didnt really improve at all.

I read this book for a 4th grade book report. Pretty serious book for a 4th grader lol. Sad story, but the worse things that happened to him are the only things that i liked reading about. Is that wrong?
