Have you ever heard the quote "actions speak louder than words"?
Well doesn't this imply that an action movie is better than a book full of words?
Discuss.

This really depends on the situation and/or personality of the person watching or reading.

Like Eragon, Percy Jacksson and the Lightning Thief the movies really sucked, but the books were really good.

And I rather read a book than watching a movie :P

I really enjoy watching movies, but they will never have the depth/details of the storyline/charachters of books.

you mean movies, that may cut out half the content of a book, use actors with different hair/eye colors than the characters in the books, and "interpret" shit to fit a movie audience?

haha, no, your 100% wrong

They are different forms of art and are not in competition with eachother.

you say they are not in competition than each other

when a movie is based on a book, uses the same characters, base story line, etc, they sure as hell DO compete with each other...well, i guess not really, since generally the movie sucks compared to the book
