I'm going into Chapters this Friday and I need some good recommendations.

I plan on picking up the second and prolly the third books in the Fire and Ice series and the sixth and seventh in the WoT series.

I enjoy fantasy series. Nothing to over the top though stuff similar to the above titles would be ideal. I need to flesh out my library and I'm open to all suggestions.

All I ask is that you give a little bit of an overview of the books, nothing major just the very basic plot. Thanks a bunch for anyhow who helps me out.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is good if you have some running knowledge of Greek Mythology
Harry Potter if you haven't already
As stated before anything by R.A. Salvatore (especially anything with Drizzt Do'urden and Artemis Entreri will cause you to orgasm uncontrollably like you were back in High School)
My Pre-cal teacher recommended Wheel of Time series when he noticed me reading PJatO
The Abhorsen trilogy is good. Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen are the books
Warcraft lore books are good, like Day of the Dragon and Lord of the Clans
Richard A. Knack is a good writer as well
My gf likes the Warrior series (idk about these though, I bought her one once and I found it in the kids section >.>)
She also like the Hunter Series or w/e something like that
As stated above too, the Eragon series is good: Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr
The Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix is fantastic but I haven't finished myself because they were still being made so I had to wait for each release in which time I had gotten caught up in something else, 7 books in total was the plan I do believe, one for each day of the week
Guardians of Ga'Hoole isn't too bad, I read a few books into the series. A few being like 7 since they're relatively short and easy to read because I read them in like 5th grade
The Secret of NIHM and books off of it Like Rasco are good
I'm reading a book right now called The Innocent Mage and the series is Kingmaker, Kingbreaker. So far it is pretty good

Hmmm well I have also read Eragon, Harry Potter series ( didn't like it) and WoT already (except for the last three books).

I'll prolly get some of the stuff by R.A. Salvatore, I'm looking for something more mature than Harry Potter or Percy Jackson and their contemporaries though.

the Drenai series by David Gemmell. Basic plot where the mainchar is really good at fighting (often with swords) and he hafto save the world.
the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Slum girl throws a rock (magic enhanced) at some wizards and is getting chased by them after that 'coz she can use magic.
The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon. A farmer girl is trying to find employment as a mercenary and her trials later on as she faces black magic, demons and such.
The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings(or anything else by David Eddings, really good author overall). A thief is getting hired by a God to make him do HER errands.

I'm really bad at describing stuff, so these books seems totally lame but they're actually REALLY good.

Most of the books stated above is good aswell (haven't read all but most of em)

/e Oh right, I just finished the first book(s?)The Magic of Recluce, in the Saga of Recluce series., really good so far, definitely gonna keep it going.

perci jackson is written for a younger audience, but the writing style is definitely mature enough, its a good series of books, worth trying out at least

1984- Basically this guy living in a negative utopia starts thinking for himself and trys to break free from the superiors control
the "Ender" series...the first one might be about a bunch of kids...but the series is amazing and gets great in the second book and any after.

i personally preferred the ones that show the life of ender post battle school but the other line of books were good too(the series splits into two directions after the book "Enders Game")

Musashi - the story of a samurai without master. Starts in the 1600s in Japan if im not mistaken. His whole family is killed in the war, adn he is the only survivor, with 12-13 years old if im not mistaken(read it a good while ago). He starts playing up with a wooden sword he found, which he promptly puts to good use smashing bones of unadvised mercenaries hahahaha... and the rest, well the rest u have to read man, its awesome.

Miyamoto Musashi was a real samurai. You're better of reading the biography by William Scott Wilson. (Also Musashi's The Book of the Five Rings is masterful).
