I was just wondering what people thought of the these books as it seems like a quite vast universe of books and the used book store I tend to go to has a very large selection of them, maybe all.
So is it any good? I would think it would be as there are a great deal of books, but I am looking for some opinions.

Epic.

Start with the Word/Void trilogy, its newer but its a prequel to the Genesis of Shannara, which is the prequel to the original series, but theres actually a set of books in between those, the first of which has JUST been released and the 2nd releases in 2011

I know i recently read 3 of the books in the series and i wont lie, they were amazing. What got me was the intricacy and detail of the story, interwoven between literally 500 years of family and events. Another big positive was that it all made sense, there was no "oh and this happened" to tie the story all together.

the overall series takes place over a lot longer than 500 years though, it started in what we might know as the united states in something like the 90s or 2000s, several parts take place a few decades after that, and it spans thousands of years

I honestly don't know much about the series, i was only reading library books, so i had a very limited selection because Australian Libraries are literally terrible. Had 3 of the series which were all in a row.

But i more meant the three books that i read, were interwoven between 500 years.

Amazing series, i'm going to slowly start picking it up so i can read it from the beginning, but there are so many beginnings i don't really know where TO begin.
