anyone read any of these? i am new to the series and cannot believe how entertaining they are.

seriously you must read one of these. pratchett's writing style is similar to douglas adams (hitchikers guide), crossed with mark twain and kurt vonnegut. its a sci-fi parody filled with satirical genius.

My sister got the book Jingo(?) and I'm thinking of reading it, tho I've never gotten to... dno why :P Have ya read it perhaps?

/e if you have, is it any good or so? and which book do you suggest me to read firstly otherwise?

My dad is a HUGE fan of Mr Pratchett (RIP) and has a huge collection, but incomplete collection of his books.

Did you see the Sky 1 version of The Hogfather with the dude from Taggart/Frost? It was excellent, absolute recommendation if you use Amazon, buy it

as for which one to read first, i recommend the color of magic (the first one). im new to the series but cant stop reading and will probably not stop for some time. i hear the books get better and better and cant imagine how.

read allmost all of them, and though there are a 1 or 2 books wich i don't like as much as the rest, the whole discworldseries overall is pure genius :)

I might be wrong but I'm almost positive he is still alive.

They actually do get better, btw.

Also read his other books too: Maurice and his educated rodents, Nation, Dark Side of the Sun, Strata, ...
