  i have read this book, it never caught my interests until around the middle of the book, when he started moving up in rank. The end had a great twist and i dont know why i havt read any sequals...it may have been because i just picked it up from somwhere and started readin it without thinkin about it cuz i was bored ^^

  This is one of my favorite science fiction books of all time. It's extremely well written, and even though it is a bit short (for me), about 350 pages, it is an extremely good book, and easily one of the best science fiction writers I have ever had the privilege to read from.

Upon reading this, I became engrossed in what happened afterwards; the end of the story leaves you satisfied in a job well done, but seems somehow to want to get you to read more about what happened. I proceeded to read the sequels, Speaker for the Dead, and Children of the Mind. I couldn't get enough of his writing. I now have nearly every one of his published works, much to my own disbelief (I prefer to borrow, rent, whatever them rather than buy), and continue rereading them all the time.

After reading those, I read his parallel novel to Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow. This is the same story, nearly, merely told from a different character perspective. While it may seem to sound as if it is a repeat, it is far from it. The challenges, mentality of the characters, and viewpoint contrast starkly. I read the sequels, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, and Shadow of the Giant. Again, these books are supremely good, and left me deeply hungry for more.

I then continued on to the Alvin Maker series, which I won't list all the books, namely because there are like seven of them. This left me extremely happy, and glad to be reading a book from an author who doesn't dwell on one subject book after book. Each new series of books by him that I've read have been insightfully different and fantastic.

I recommend you read his works, obviously. They aren't difficult to read at all, and are very nice to sit down and read an hour or two at night before you drift off to sleep.

ya i read ender's game, awesome book imo. i have speaker for the dead, but i think theres one in between im missing...
