So just saw the teaser for this right before True Blood's season 3 opener. Any fans of the series in here...like I have to ask. Feel free to post anything to want on the series. I'm new to this part of the site recently started reading these again due to the upcoming Hbo series when I heard round last Christmas. Havent since 03-04 when I started it and ofc 05 was the last volume. So I hear he's up too 13xx pages atm which is at least a good sign making it his 2nd biggest book of the series.

I'm hyped for this.

Why can't he just finish the new book already! I'm scared that he's going to die before he finishes the series! I gotta say that these are some of the best books that I've read. And I can't wait for the HBO series to air. Fucking right Sean Bean

as of august ggrm writes on his not a blog homepage that he's done with 8 of the pov characters the epi and prologue and olmost done with merenesse or w/e that free town city is on A Dance With Dragons(#5). it's believed that jon snow pov is still unfinished though .../e he's also well into his six book 100+pages The Winds of Winter omgwtf ;D...yea i hear ya though i saw his 4th book in october or so in 05 so i been waiting the full 5+ years on ADWD. And yea, 006 as Eddard (Ned) Stark will be tight though the true test of this Hbo series lasting will be the Lannisters and the Stark kids performing right also Dany ofc.

best fantasy shit I've read in quite some time.
totally hyped for this show.

My only problem with the series is it feels like it's four years between every book. Unlike other series that I picked up late into the series, I started Game of Thrones on day one. So I've had to wait, quite impatiently, for each subsequent novel. It wouldn't be that bad, but Martin always gives you a release date 2 years before actual publishing

It is good times though.
