I'm looking for feel good books that I could possibly read for the summer.
I cannot recall any feel good books I've read recently, but I'll link them to some movies: The blind side, Remember the Titans, and A Walk to Remember (really girlish I know)

To narrow it down, I would like to read books that have inspired some really good movies (critically acclaimed).
I'm also up to reading great books of all time (genre doesnt really matter in this case).

I appreciate all your replies. Thanks all :D

Anderson's fairytales if you've never read that. Classic and its inspired loads of amazing movies and adaptions.

The Last Unicorn is a modern classic fairytale. It's written by Peter S. Beagle. I'd check out the rest of his books if you like fiction. He's amazing at describing things in a way anyone can understand and I haven't read anything by him that didn't make me feel emotion with every word and paragraph. Despite the fact that it involves unicorns I swear its a good read. There is also a animated movie adaption of it which is in a very interesting animation style.
