Okay so I'v got my oral assessment tomorrow and my topic is 'Darcy's character'
I basically just need a load of aspects about him, backed up by quotes
This is what I have so far...

• Initially portrayed as tall, handsome, self-absorbed, rich.

• As soon as he gets involved in the novel (starts speaking etc) we find out that he is proud, disagreeable and bad-mannered, describing Lizzy as ‘tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me’.

• Overly conscious of his social status as he shows in his proposal: ‘Could you expect me to rejoice in the inferiority of your connections? To congratulate myself on the hope of relations, whose condition in life is so decidedly beneath my own?’

• Shy, as he admits later on in the novel: ‘ I should have judged better, had I sought an introduction, but I am ill qualified to recommend myself to strangers’. This fact contradicts the previous view of him, that he was proud and bad-mannered.

• Prejudiced – he holds a grudge against Mrs Bennet because of her behaviour towards Bingley.

So yeah, if anyone could help me out a bit I'd be very appreciative
