I never read it, and I don't feel any urge to read it at all. I've seen the film, and while it didn't quite dampen my appetite for the books, it didn't make me all the enthousiastic. I know very well that oft times films don't depict how the book it is based on will be, but this one time I have my doubts. Besides, I've got an extensive personal reading list right now so I'm not in any hurry to add new projects to it smile.gif.

The movie was slow, boring, and overall a shitty film.

The books are atleast entertaining for the most part.

If anything, read the books.

I'd have to say they're pretty good. However, they're more on a lower reading level. .

The whole series are good. I have to say that the last book is the best.

The books were pretty good, far better than the movie, but they are geared towards readers at about the Junior high school level. C.S. Lewis also has a trilogy out (which I can not remember the name of these three books but I beleive one is The Perils of Perilandria) which also merges theology and fantasy but is for more advanced readers. I liked that trilogy much better. For a christian writer he has/had more flexible and advanced views than just about any self-proclaimed "christian" I've ever met.
