Great series. Finished 1-13 this year, each book in like 3 days.
Anyone know what month14th book is supposed to come out?

And any other books/series similar to this one? I'm not really into Sword of Shannara, and i've read all of LoTR.

Indeed, I just recently bought the 2-6 books couldn't find the first book.

Already read them though, just re reading for 12-14. I can't wait.

I also read somewhere that they're coming out with another game for the series for the 360 and PS3.

Read the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It is just as good as the Wheel Of Time series, I actually think its better ^^ There are about 13 books in total I think.

Try the Drenai Series by David Gemmell, awesome books imo :] I've read all of them (in swedish tho but still awesome)
Raymond E Feist is another awesome author. The Riftwar Saga is one of my personal favourites.
The Forgotten Realms by R. A. Salvatore are amazing too.
The Deverry Cycle/Novels by Katherine Kerr is good, tho little bit weird, takes a while to get used to how she writes her books (at least for me :p)

regards Beestrom.

i think theres 12-13 books, a prequel, then Law of Nines which is set on (our earth) but its the parralell universe richard created and ties into the sword of truth series

Can't believe no one has mentioned George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire..

It isn't as based in magic as much as SoT or WoT, but it's > both imo.

except that the last book was due out 5 years ago...
he just announced he reached 1300 pages, pretty shitty for working on it for over 6 years...

He has had pretty poor work ethic, I agree.. But it doesn't make the books bad.

He has actually picked up his progress a good bit imo (judging from his blog).

i dunno, i absolutely loved sword of truth, but then again, it was written for an audience more mature, more politically aware, etc
