I'm looking for a new series of books to read preferably 4-20 books long in the series. Most of the books I have read are fantasy, and generally takes 1-3days to finish a book, thats why I prefer a series so I can just buy a few at a time, I have only read 1 book that wasn't part of a series and it was good but then you have to go and start looking for another book to read after only a few days lol.

Well so you can help me with some suggestions and get an idea of my taste, the books I've read in the past month are:

Wheel of Time series definatley. 12 so far i think and the last coming soon.

Sword of Truth (13 books? think)
Sword of Shannara (big series with 4-5 3to4 book series's placed in the same world)
forgotten realms (100's of books by dozens of authors making several series set in one fantasy world)
Emberverse series (i think theres 9 total books, so far)

Sword of Truth series is meh, starts off pretty good but last book i read was the one after Naked Empire, one of my fav of that series, too much recap allll the time,,

Dark Tower series by stephen king was pretty good seven books in the series, about a Gunslinger cant get much more badass than that

dark tower has seven books but also several graphic novels and such too

sword of truth is good, but you have to be a bit more mature to read it, as it has some stuff to do with politics and underlaying tones of the US governments problems (such as unions)

I just felt after reading 8 or so books into the SOT, that his recapping on what happened in previous books was just too much. it got to be annoying and thats why i stopped reading it, maybe a dumb reason, but that's why i did ^^

i did like the way it was presented tho the Imagery in the book was pretty ripe for me, which is what kept me reading em for a while i just got sick of reading the same crap over and over, it felt like he was just trying to fill pages or insult my intelligence, maybe he was trying to make em easier to just jump into, i dunno but thats what ultimately turned me off to the series maybe i should start reading it again lol

why are everyone into fantasy so much lol

because fantasy is something different than the world we live in, not based in fact, if you want to read history, take a class




i guess i didnt see it that way, there is alot of jumping around to different tails of the story and yes, theres some backstory, but it builds upon the books as a whole
