There are many qualities in others that
We admire and stride to bestow in ourselves for acceptance
Like a heroes valor
An athletes passion
A followers devotion
and their leaders strength
A warriors perseverance
and their unyielding loyalty

Then there are those we push away
And wish to never surface
Like a victims pain
A cowards weakness
A liars dishonesty
and their crooked tongue
A governments corruption
and their civilians vulnerability

But there is on that is in all of us
Some show it on their sleeve with pride
While others hide it with their insecurities
Given at birth by mother and father
Shown by friends and acquaintances alike
Undiscovered in the person next to you and those to come
Many believe it is complex and undescribeable
Yet it can be as simple as lending a hand or giving a hug

And if one is still uncertain of what is being spoken
Then they are yet to find it in themsleves
A life without it is a life without valor, passion, devotion, strength, perseverance, and loyalty
A life without it is a life without pain, weakness, dishonesty, corruption, and vulnerability
A life without it is a life not worth living
Truth is, if you hold this virtue, you hold all of those above, good or bad, better or worse
So when it is presented, accept it, and you will be accepted because all of this comes with love
