i'm starting to wonder if I should just quit posting this.

sci-fi Dune by Frank Herbert all of the books in the series except chapterhouse are awesome

Historical fiction? Does stuff like the Odyssey count? I like that kind of stuff, which is loosely accurate to history with strong fictitious undertones.

If you count I Am Legend by Richard Matheson as either choice (technically it could be both), it's a good read.

Science Fiction, probably, but it's not a historical fiction in any sense.

Philip Dick's books are pretty good! The Man in the High Castle for example is pretty interesting

I know your thinking "omg not another one," but as amazingh as it may seem it's a very original interpretation and I really liked it. :D
