If your looking for a book to read go for
The curious incident of the dog in the night-time : Mark Haddon

I thought it was realllly interesting, gives an insite into autistic peoples minds and explores relationships of broken familys.

May seem a bit childish to you if you read hardcore books though.

i enjoyed it ^_^

I am reading Angels & Demons right now from Dan Brown, I am half way through the book, and so far it has been pretty good.

My favorite book though is from James Patterson called Sail.

I don't have a favorite book by her, but my favorite author is Kathy Reich. She is a forensic anthropologist and she writes books about it. The show Bones is based slightly on her books :)
