I read the entire book in the span of about 24 hours

it ties in, with several things, to the "Sword of Truth" Series, its by Terry Goodkind

its set in our world, rather than the world the Truth series takes place in, and its set in a modern-day type setting, being 100's or even 1000 years later

Its a very interesting book, was a great read, well written

my only gripe is that its only one book, it could have easily been made into a trilogy or quadrilogy if he had tried a bit harder

i loved it though, if you read the sword of truth series, its a must-read, if not, then you must read the sword of truth series ^^

if your into fantasy, the series and the book are GREAT buys, you wont be dissappointed

I'm reading the sword of truth now and I must say, I'm a bit disappointed. He is not that great of a writer in spite of it being a great story so far. Granted, I'm only a couple hundred pages into the first book.

He really isn't that great of a writer, although his hardcore fans seem to think he's the second coming or something. That being said, I think the first four or so books are pretty enjoyable, but it goes downhill HARD from there. Several page long monologues by Richard? Check. The author shoving his ideology down your throat at every second? Check.

The story was badass nonetheless... but the characters we're lacking badass-ness. Immense power, but it was rarely used, and it annoyed the shit out of me.

But yeah, never heard of Law of Nines before, I'll be needing to check it out.

The only, and I repeat, only reason I finished Law of Nines was because it tied into the sword of truth and I wanted some minor clarification. Other than that, I didn't enjoy the book. I probably wouldn't have finished it if I hadn't been able to finish it the first day.
