I was never a bookworm, and despised reading,
so the book(s) will have to be
AMAZING.
I'm a freshman in college by the way.
The ones that I have already read and liked are:

Catcher In The Rye, Chicken Soup, Die Happy,
From A Name To A Number, Go Ask Alice,
Harry Potter 4-7, Night, and The Thief Lord.

Also wondering if the Twilight series is actually that good.

I hated Animal Farm.
Already read Things Fall Apart, didn't really like it.
Alright I'll check the other two out, any others?

pick up anything by ken follett

he writes in a broad range of settings, subjects, times, and characters, so you can find a book by him that suits what you like

i find him to be an exceptionally good author, i started with "pillars of the earth" and wasnt sure i wanted to try reading any of his other books, since the subjects are so far off what i usually read, but everytime i pickup a book by him, it rivets my attention and i have to finish it, they are that good

I think a million little pieces was from that author that got outed on Oprah xd

Neway, you seem like a picky reader (heh) but you could always do yourself a big favor and read A Confederacy of Dunces.

i love the twilight series but it´s definitely a story designed for girls... i´m not sure if you would like it.
you should go for the books of carlos ruiz zafon.
