Trip
As the room bleeds green,
My perception of reality is fading away.
As comprehension is a distant dream,
The colors, vivid, are here to stay.
My thoughts exceed sober comprehension,
Wondering if this will ever stop.
I fall into a new dimension,
My ceiling is floor and the bottom is top.
The lava lamp dances,
The room fills with water.
The marker's color enhances,
While my body teeter-totters.
Through this galaxy I roam and wander,
Everything is so eloquent.
I'm startled, perplexed, no being to ponder,
No sorrow, guilt, no repent.
Things laugh, they scream, from down the hall,
They know this game I'm playing.
Faces hidden in my walls,
They listen to what I'm saying.
The earth stands still yet everything is moving,
Am I awake? Is this a dream I'm seeing.
Sweating, shakened, what am I doing?
I'm, simply put, just being.
