communist manifesto is hard to understand. it is true. but its a style through form. he is being dialectical, and once you get used to his style of writing, you will see that he is very funny, while making very discursively chilling points. ur right, many of marx's assumptions are "gangbanged," but he wrote 150 years ago. he would have very diff things to say if he were alive today. capitalism was able to respond to his claims, establishments were able to supress revolutions, etc.

In all fairness, one can make a reasonable argument that Marx is, purposefully or not, obscurantist in many places. Believe me, I've slogged through enough Hegel to know it when I see it.
