Old piece way back from highschool - I should rename it Idealism.
Your wisdom comes from a sage old man
who is conservative and bland.
Worried about himself and his wife.
Minding his business, just living his life.
Look at him, He stands tall and respectable
and his taste for wine is not but delectable.
He is a good man - understand
but in regards to the world, he doesn't care what will happen.
And these are the ideals instilled in our youths
Why isn't lack of action the same as abuse?
Its terribly strange how we call ourselves men,
we let tragedy happen again and again.
Your wisdome comes from a sage old lady
Who concerns herself with her two little babies.
All she wants is to go out tonight
To get some affection, be treated as a wife.
And whats wrong with that? We all need some love
so she and her babies are showered with hugs.
She is a nice lady, out of kindness she's born,
but what does she care for areas war torn?
And these are the ideals instilled in our youths
Apathetic to those in need of some refuge.
I really don't know how you call yourselves ladies,
Your ignorance is damning yourself to Hades.
You wisdom comes from self-realization
Which had caused you constant aggravation.
It is very hard to be objective
When your parents have been over protective.
All you want is to live for yourself,
Get out on your own and abandon their help
Perfectly normal to want to be independent,
but does that make global problems any less stringent.
These are the ideals that have been instilled in your child.
You have been compelled to be reckless and wild.
Thats a part of life that you do understand,
So channel that into helping your fellow man.
