no, he's just saying he read it and he didn't like it.

Not hard to figure out.

I thought it was slow and boring, although he did talk about the Spanish civil war which was interesting.

You can tell from the way he structured his sentences that that wasn't just what he saying. Regardless of what his defense is.

no hidden meanings here... i read it and didn't like it. i thought that i would love it, considering the fact that it is often regarded as one of the greats. i didn't, and that's why i was wondering what other people thought. i assume i must have missed out on something, because people all over the world love it. but then again, people all over the world love(d) backstreet boys. go figure...

I only read "metamorphose" from him, and thought it was very depressing, abstact and dark.
