I swear to god... the chronology of these books is fucking impossible to try to follow.

I've already read the entire Dark elf trilogy of Salvatore.

Does anybody know of any other good series in the Forgotten Realms?

They have to be good because honestly I'm starting to get tired with the genre. The first half of Salvatore's series was excellent, but the second half was very predictable and sort of boring.

In fact, after finishing the series I hate all of the main heroes except for Drizzt. Salvatore's lame attempt to bombard the reader with life lessons is really annoying.

ANYways, are there any other good authors in Forgotten Realms? Because if not then I'm going to read more of Robin Hobb--one of my favorite authors.

To be honest... if you don't like Salvatore, give it a rest. She is the best of the genre, anything else will be inferior, and if you already hate the series... ya go read Hobb. What is your favorite Hobb book?

Personally, I liked the Silent Blade (or whatever it was called)

Yeah, Salvatore is as good as FR gets. He crafts some wonderful action sequences and has allowed his characters to evolve constantly. His latest trilogies - The Hunter's Blades + Transitions - are his best work since the Dark Elf trilogy.

Salvatore....is a he.

The only series I've read of Hobb is The Farseer, but I loved it.

Try "The Liveship Traders" by Hobb. Its fantastic. Some parts are dry but it is an amazing trilogy.

Yes :) I have all 3 books sitting on my bookshelf. I can't fucking wait to start them

It's settled then, I'm not reading any more FR and I'm going to read Hobb. Now I'm excited!

The Drizzt trilogy being the best of all, if you didn't like them I wouldn't suggest trying any other.

The story of Drizzt is just amazing, so I suppose it's not your style.
