I need help finding a book i read only half of, a long time ago and its really bugging me. It was part of my English 9 curriculum if that helps.

I'll try and give as much info i can but my memory is foggy from years of abusing drugs, here goes...

- set in the future, sort of post apocalyptic time
- ruins and remnants of old cities and buildings but ppl usually stayed away from them
- main characters lived in small village they farmed and were sort of simple ppl
- everyone was god fearing i think and was paranoid of blasphemy or anything different
- any deformities or anything unnatural and u would be killed, if i remember correctly
- main character was a teenage boy and had some sort of telepathic ability or something i cant quite remember and he had to hide it from everyone( on account of blasphemy)
- main char met few other ppl with or was friends with other ppl who had same ability and they kept it a secret
- main char had a baby sister that started to show signs of the telepathic ability but extremely strong, so strong it was a liability to the others

not much i know :(

Unless you also read this book, I'll prolly never find. You guys are my last hope, my final stand if you will.

10fg for grabs too! If you know it.
