I remember reading a book when I was younger. Short description of it.
Main character is in the city guard.he is part of a secret society, he
uncovers a very bad plot and is thrown into trying to end it. He ends up
getting captured and tortured and later his deity gives him purples eye.

lol nah, but that's always a goody. I don't know why but I am obsessed with finding this book now. It wasn't the best book I've ever read but it wasn't bad either.

I just found it, the title finally clicked. I was thinking path of darkness all today and I was almost correct.
