There are some novels which are good stories with bad writing, and others with good literature but dull plots. I can tell you for certain this book is neither crude nor boring. Rothfuss is an excellent writer, and by excellent I mean astounding. He will make you care about the character, and captivate you with an array of emotion, pain, and joy.
The setting is sort of different from the usual fantasy fiction environments. It's more of a Roman setting, rather than an entire magical kingdom weaved from nowhere.

I'm not even completely done with the novel myself, but I was that certain that it would be worth mentioning.
