And now I want to to my own.

What should i write about? How hard is it to write a own book? Anyone here who wrote a book and can help me out with information on how to start??

It's a ton of work, or so I've heard.
After you write the book, you have to find a publisher, which means printing out tons of copies, sending them to a ton of different publishers, alot of denials, etc.
Try Google, or find a publishers website and they may have a faq/help section or something.

Make sure you have a plot outline/storyboard. You don't want to make it up as you go along. Also, if you do finish, get an agent. Seriously. Getting a good agent will make your life so much easier, and make getting published about 1000x easier.

well man the books that u read aren't the greatest for showin u some true writing skills
try some of salvatores shit or david eddings those are great books man and they'll stomp some good words and crukd usage into ur head
as for what to right about?
anything dude and don't plan the book just let it go
don't write it either, type it, writing takes far longer and it'll get messy with that much writing on a paper.

many people have this thought, "i want to be an artist". the vast majority find out they arent artistic.
if u have to post on a site asking for suggestions for a book.. i'd suspect a fate
well fantasy is not really artistic in the sense of poetry so u shud give it a shot.

most publishers want only the first chapter and a synopsis of the rest of the book as a first submission, you may even be able to submit electronically, check to see what the publisher's guidelines are - to write a good book you need to have a fresh idea, or a new twist on an old idea. you might want to consider writing a short story first. there are tons of 'how to' books out there, but basically it takes a good idea and the ability to write about it so people will want to read it - gl smile.gif

Make sure you get it copywritten before you send out several copies over the internet .

Don't tell yourself "there are no rules" because there are, but don't tell yourself "there are rules" either. Your grammar, your English, your spelling, none of it matters, so long as you find your voice. If you want to write, if you are serious about it, you have to ask yourself "would I do this every day even if I were promised to never be paid at all?" If the answer's yes, get started. Writer's Block is cowardice and laziness. The real reason why writing is hard work is not because you have to dream up the best story. You have to write piles and piles of bad material and have the courage to edit through it and cut out the garbage. Don't try to force any ideas and the language will let you know what works best because as soon as it's on the page you read it just like anyone else and you know what you like. Once again, you will write massive stacks of notes and drafts that will pile upon your desk. That's when the work starts, when you keep on writing and have the will power to eliminate what doesn't belong and the creativity to continue beating the good ideas on the anvil until you've shaped something awesome. Make sure you never sell your rights and make sure you have a good editor, someone who is honest. You don't have to pay the person; it can be a friend, but never think you go it alone.

Grab some pencil and paper and just write. Work on short stories first, but the best thing you can do is just to write. Of coarse the first few works you do will be terrible trash most likely, but you will learn to pick up writing styles from the books you read. Just practice and experiment at first, maybe glance through a dictionary to expand your vocabulary. But a book should be the last thing on your mind right now, you have to learn to crawl before you walk.

Shoot me a message if you want some better advice, I'll rap some ideas with you.
