Any novels on this topic?

Just novels that display the truth about human experience. I prefer one that helps me understand life better- or give it a different or unique perspective- I miss them.

Last one I read was the Giver.

But I'd prefer one slightly more complicated- thanks smile.gif

u should be much more wary of thinking there is a truth about human experience..
joyce, delilo, proust, kafka, hesse, bolano, marquez, beckett
all modernists or postmodernists. all will help u out a lot.
wikipedia their best works for suggestions

fucking joke of a book

try the alchemist, heart of darkness, native son, god so many to choose from. all classics really because they are classical in that their message is timeless, many written with philospohical insights on what it is to be human.

Excellent book indeed, I couldn't put it down, read the whole thing in a couple of hours

Good list. I stronlgly recommend reading some Delillo; I think Underworld is his best-known work, but also try The Body Artist and Metropolitan. I'd also throw in some Philip Roth; The Human Stain, The Portnoy Complaint, etc.
