Well, here's the list. The reason I said it was biased is because it includes only my top 10 authors. tongue.gif. Anyway, vote for your number one from this list. If you haven't read any of their numerous works then you are technically a heathen (and don't ask me why so because I don't answer to heathens wink.gif). Furthermore, as postulated by Mill, you should not be treated as human since you possess no rationality and thus are debased and idiotic biggrin.gif.

Anyway, before I go on this course of idle banter far too long, I would like to point out that if you absolutely must, you may (and see here, I actually give you permission) post your own favourite author if he/she is not listed.

It would also be nive to hear your reasoning behind your choice, such as: "OMFGZOR that book owns", or, if you possess more time on your hands and a shred of intelligence, something such as: "The superb imagery and dynamic plots intertwined with well formed and riddled subplots make this epic absolutely and unabashedly stand out from the rest".

My vote goes for: hmmm, actually difficult this one, I'll leave it a while longer during which time I'll give it a lot of thought.

Vote went to Raymond E. Feist.. Simply, I love his books & read em all.
He got a nice ability to go into details when needed wink.gif

A-men to that. I just read 'Shadow of a Dark Queen' a few weeks ago (until school became so damn demanding sad.gif).
If you like descriptive narrative you should try L.E. Modesitt Jr. He is pretty damn good too, and I rather like his style of writing, although, admittedly, he can "go on" a bit...

I would have to say Terry Pratchett. I'm not a massive reader but i've read a couple of his books and they did have me in stitches. So yes, massivly biased vote here but i'm not saying anything bad against the others who are all probably just as good

My vote, after careful consideration, goes to Robert Jordan. This is due to the fact that between intensive exam studies I have re-read 'A New Spring' and The World of Robert Jordan's 'The Wheel of Time'' and I find them rather good.

Vote went to Jordan. I would have gone Terry Goodkind if he was listed. The two in question Wheel of Time and Sword of Truth are both equally good reads. I'm afraid Goodkind kills Jordan though in my opinion ohmy.gif

Here here, a man after my own heart. Favourites must include David Eddings simply because of Silk (in the Belgariad and Mallorean) wink.gif.
