A long time ago when I first got into poetry I started messing around
with the poetic devices (parallelism, allusion, symbolism, rhyme
schemes, iambic pentameter, blank verse, sonnets, etc etc etc). I like
this one.
Quote
Standing up, I can't see past the smoke
Your fires burn my eyes
Slipping down, can't breathe in the water
You drown me in your lies
I don't know at whom this is directed, so I guess it had no real influence. It's antithesis with an ABCB scheme obviously.
