I have read all this series and loved it. As I recall the first book of the series was a bit slow (aren't most?) but after that I loved it.

It is about a would be king's bastard son who gets thrown into court life when his mother leaves him at the castle gates...Just another bastard kicking around right? Nope, lets secretly turn him into the royal assassin! Add some wolf powers and you have a series.

I found his first series to be the best.
It was a little slow at first, you just kept wanting the kid to go out and do something, but was good series.

Second series, The Live Ship Traders was intersting. More about plots than fighting. Had some cool stuff in it

3rd seres, the Tawny Man, just didnt cut it. Nothing happened at all. Every time something could happen, they would ignore it, or "come back to it", which never happened.
Just a series of could of beens.

Hmm, I'm with you along some of the lines.

The first series was AMAZING.
As for the second... Meh, I really didn't like it much. And was Amber really the Fool? Sounds far-fetched sad.gif
As for 3rd series, yea; It was too dispersed in what happend.. nothing like the first at all. They could have made it better by actually having grander events when opportunity arose (i.e. the Skill Pillars transportations, the Black Man..)
