Okay so I am reading this book for school. The first Part I found utterly boring, except for a few sections of it. The second part w/ the Giants I found pretty good except for a few parts. The book imo is very slow but I have to finish it.

Any read this and have opinions? I like books with dialogue, this book has none btw

First part utterly boring? The entire book is full of sex jokes.

Soon after my return from Leyden, I was recommended, by my good master Mr. Bates, to be surgeon to the Swallow, Captain Abraham Pannell commander; with whom I continued three years and a half, making a voyage or two into the Levant, and some other parts.

if u take english in college u'll learn about the author, swift, one of the big names of the era.
if you want food for thought, u can think of this book as a perspective on foreign cultures at a time when western europe was coming into colonialism and coming into contact with many different cultures. travel narratives were very popular at the time.

btw, i think the funny thing about the word utterly is that its one that i used when i was in high school, and then thought it was so banal, and then now i love it again
