Darren Shan's books remind me alot of Rowling, but other than that I think he is pretty unique.

You should try the Dragonlance books, or R.A. Salvatore's Dark Elf trilogy.

Also, is it true that the Demonata books come out in the US 6 months later than they come out in England? Whats the latest book in the Demonata series, im about to start the series.

The latest is Deaths Shadows, probably my favourite of the series.

I knew he was british, I was just wondering why it took 6 months longer to come out in the US?? They are both english, and I don't hear a british accent when im reading british literature so its all good. So I don't understand the long delay.

is Deaths Shadows book 7 of the Demonata series? how come it doesn't show up on his site: http://www.darrenshan.com/demons/books/index.html

It only recently came out in the U.K.
