My response is fairly noncommittal (sorry). What did your teacher think?

No they have 2 lines and they both have to rhyme and i forget the amount os syllables.
My teacher said it was really good for 9th grade and that it was 'Typical teenager thinking"

A limerick would go as such

There once was a fellow of Leer
Who hadn't an atom of fear
He had an overwhelming desire
To touch a live wire
And any last line will do here

Yours could work very well in a poem or lyrics if you added to it, try continuing it for about 6 lines or so and see what you have.

Isn't that from some stupid song?

If not, then it makes no sense that you're walking on an "EMPTY" street, but you're meeting people.

And, it's not a limerick as other people have said. Perhaps you're thinking of couplets?
