By the way you know me,I'm Cash. We've discussed pc games & heroic fantasy,if you remember.

I'm afraid I don't remember.
The books are great, but you really need to hurry up and read the rest so we can talk about it properly without me giving anything away.

The first 3 where great and full of potential. The 4th book was HORRIBLE

Disagree, ive read the 4th book about four times now... I find it to be written far more intellectual and character driven the other three... but less action... 4th is more a set up book.

I'm gonna assume with your love of ALL the Goodkind books that the intellectual and thinking side is probably a turn-off.

Its not intellectual at all, nothing ever happens in that book, it was so disappointing compared to the first 3. When he finally killed off my least favorite character (the mom - I forget her name) what does he do? He brings her back to life. And the only character I actually care reading about is the dragon princess, and what does he do with her? He decides to let her sit in a castle across the ocean instead of attacking the kingodm.

And the two little brothers, what do they do? Chapter after chapter they are just running with the stupid frog people chasing some one-eyed crow thats way way to the north or something.

And the witless Briana girl is so annoying, chapter after repetitive chapter of chasing the stupid daughter all around the world because of some stuipd promise she made to the stupid mom, and its annoying particularly since the reader always knows shes going the wrong way.

Its been a long time, but after the 4th book I was so pissed I lost faith in the author, there are so many better things to read.

Martin is now the bar, there is nothing better to read... Character development and set-up was the 4th, as i said before.

you can't actually say it was the "setup" without having a sequel to actually confirm that it was a setup. Besides, beying a setup doesn't justify why its boring. If he can't write a setup without making it boring and repetetive (and frankly, quite pointless - nothing was accomplished in the 4th book and it could have been sumirazed in a page, or in the epilogue of the 5th book) then he should have just skipped 5-10 years and jumped to all the promises of action that he has been promising in the first 3 books...
