Agreed. It is perhaps one of my favorite books and words cannot trully emcompass how great this book really is. When I first picked it up (for 11th grade English class) I naturally assumed it would be a horrible book... I obviously had heard of Steinbeck but had never really read any of his novels. Two days later I finished East of Eden.
I just found it great that rather than showing all the good things happening to the main character the worst possible things continued to happen.
All in all I'd recommend this book to anyone.
took me awhile to read cuz i was busy and i sorta picked it up here n there over a few weeks but yea.
it stores so much wisdom and is truly unique. i cant really put words to it.
