Any Paul Auster novel would do.

maybe start with Book of Illusions or Timbuktu.. pretty easy read books
but if yer want exciting stuff(still Auster tho):
Brooklyn Follies
New York Triology

If doesn't suit you - TOO BAD!!

I'd recommend Timbuktu or Mr.Vertigo, i liked those most smile.gif They aren't very hard to read because they are very good written, his style just packs you from the start and never lets go till the end. I'm a German speaker, but could read Timbuktu without any Problems in English.

Dan Brown, or Tolkien are possibilities too..

Musashi - Its 2 volumes of about 900-1000 pages, but you dont necessarily have to read both of them. Its great.

Get a book out called The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

its a very good storyline but in youre case its good literature. the writing style is simple but uses traditional english sentence structure and the language is fairly easy to follow. best thing to get you're english up is just check out the library and ALWAYS have a dictionary beside you when you read. its a life saver.
