the main character was a lion/man. he had his right arm cut off 4 the book started. it was replaced with a mechanical arm. he had two swords that he used (one at a time, not dual wielding). i keep thinking that the book was named, "The Guardian" but I cant seem to find it.

there was another char in teh book named "Opal" who was humanoid yet had iridescent looking skin.

any help is appreciated.

"The Guardian" and an iridescent skinned humanoid female (But not human) kinda sounds like Keeper of the Isis Light trilogy, however, that was many many many years ago and I'm probably wrong.
