I loved this book. Has anyone ever read it?

I like the background, long history, and near mythology of Anne Rice's vampire chronicles. I hate nearly everything else. She takes what should be the ultimate badasses and turns them into whimpering emo brats. By the time you reach Queen of the Damned, you can't turn two pages without seeing Lestat weeping like a 5 year old that lost his cookies. And the interviews. Seeing a grotesquely gothed out Rice talking about lestat as her 'Dark Prince' is enough to make anyone cringe and vomit. She killed female authors for me for a LONG time.

Never read Interview, though the film was great, I loved Blood and Gold though.

Yeah I read it. It was a great piece of writing, definitely better than the movie.

The first book was good but I dont like that Anne Rice made Lestat or w/e his name is into a goddamn crybaby carebear halfway through the series. I mean, its supposed to be a vampire series not a winnie the poof book
