My local comic book shops are all holes in the wall, the one that wasn't closed down a while ago and fuck going to another city to find a decent shop. Comic shops killed themselves in most cases, same with game shops.
And on topic, I've been reading Ultimate Fantastic Four, X-men and Spiderman. Of them, I've found FF the most entertaining followed by Spiderman. I should reread X-men though, they're stuck in a rut right now story wise and I don't like who's drawing it so I'm probably just a bit biased.
You're an idiot. Open up one of these shops yourself and make it work. Their lack of success had nothing to do with themselves but solely rests on the internet. Little corner bookshops/comic shops/gamestores cannot compete with the always open ever increasing deals found on the internet. there's no argument. There was a very nice comic shop down the street from me that I would go to occasionally and talk to the owner. He said on average he maybe had 10 people come in a day. You're not going to make a profit on 10 people a day. Right before they closed down he sold a lot of his stock on the internet and actually pulled a small profit. When you factor in the rent and employee costs a small shop incurs you'd have to sell a ton to make anything back. Whereas on the internet you have none of that.
