Did anyone else read it ?

It's another of J.R.R Tolkien's (though I think his son (Christopher Tolkien) finished it off, as it was never finished in his dad's lifetime).

I've got it on my desk at the moment, though I've got a ton of other books to get through until I can read it! Is it good?

I didnt read it but I heard it was ok - nothing special

I liked it alot,but well i love every single thing tolkien writes.
If you've read the silmarillion,it's about the story of the curse of Turin.
I think it's worth the time.
And,something good, usually tolkien makes hopeful,positive books like lotr,while this one is more realistic,pessimistic.

Ah I've not read any of Tolkien's other work. This sounds better, can't beat a nice bit of pessimism!

I've got about 5 books to read before that one, the last 3 in Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series, the last 1 in Trudi Canavan's "Age of the Five" series, and the last one in Terry Brooks' "High Druid of Shanarah". Then I'll get to this one.

in my oppinion this is one of Tolkeins better books
