Everyone studies differently. This may not be a very useful suggestion depending on how/why you can't retain knowledge, but do try to study in stages. If you know a test is coming up in 2 weeks, study 20 minutes-30 minutes each day and at the beginning of each study session, take 5 minutes to try and recollect what you studied on the previous day(s). What you should avoid is studying in one big chunk right before the test. You may have short-term memory loss, long term memory loss, or you may just have a problem remembering things that don't interest you. In any case, whould the problem persist, try and involve a doctor. Simple things like good sleep, fresh air, good diet and a bit of exercise can go a HELL of a long way to help your memory and many other brain functions (not to mention you'll actually be healthier biggrin.gif).

There are loads and loads of ways to improve your studying practice. If you find you have trouble concentrating, try something like;

(10+2)*5;
-10 minutes of work, solid;
-2 minute break from whatever you were doing, don't even look at your work!;
-*5 times in 1 hour.

That makes up 60 minutes, and you'll find that you get more work done in that 60 minutes than you would without taking 5*2 minute breaks.

Worth a shot, I know it helps me when I'm working! smile.gif
