Yoshimasa and the Silver Pavilion- Donald Keene

Had to read it for class (Modern Japan), but actually enjoyed it quite a bit. A nice introduction to politics/warfare in the Samurai period, as well as how Japan founded the culture it now has today.

forgot to post about all the WOT books i finished.  on book 13 now "the tower of midnight".  12 and 13 are easily the best since lord of chaos...

I liked a crown of swords too. But yes, the gathering storm and The Towers of midnight were decent. I didn't like how RJ lost focus of his story in books 8-11, it seemed like the story had no direction. Glad it's time for the end in the next book.

Last book I finished was The ABC Murders by Agatha Christie. One of my favorites(though I like pretty much everything I've read of hers), would recommend to anyone.

Notes on the State of Virginia - Thomas Jefferson

Had to read it for a history class. Was pretty boring at times, but it gave a great insight to what Thomas Jefferson really believed in. Makes me think of him completely different now.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. - Probably the best fantasy book I have read.
The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (Second book) - While quite good, I thought the first was vastly superior.
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey - I actually quite like this one, though it's a bit.. romance-y, it's definitely worth a read.
Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey - I preferred this one to the first.

Reading the third book in the Kushiel's Legacy trilogy and then I will either read Beowulf or One Thousand and One Nights, I'm not sure which one I will read first.. I have so many books backed up on my "to read" list that it's a bit flabbergasting..
