OMG.
This reasoning looks godly.
My only reasoning for thinking that Dumbledore is still alive is because he's like the best wizard ever.
KUDOS for you!

I agree.
If you can pull this out of the books, your no nerd.
You are a thourough reader, and thats a good thing.

I think your right, but on the other hand, with all the death eaters there, surely one would notice something different. Correct?

Here is my reasoning for thinking Dumbledore is still alive.

In all the books, when someone is killed by the Avada Kedavra curse, they simply just drop dead.

At the beginning of Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, Professor Slughorn had them make a potion called the "Draught of Living Death", it makes the drinker fall asleep but appear dead.

Remember 1/2 way through the book, Hagrid tells Harry he overheard Dumbledore and Snape fighting about something and Dumbledore telling Snape he had to promise that he would do it, whatever they were going to do.

Towards the end of the book when Snape performs the Avada Kedavra curse on Dumbledore, Dumbledore just doesnt drop dead, he is blasted backwards and out of the tower. Later on when Harry and Hagrid approach Dumbledores dead body, Harry says to himself that Dumbledore looked more like he was sleeping. Also, after Draco took Dumbledores wand, it was no where to be found afterwards.

At the funeral for Dumbledore, no one saw his body, just of what Harry knew was his body. And when the tomb burst into flames, Harry thought to himself he saw a Phoenix disappear into the air.. Phoenix's can transport people.

Just my 2 cents on how I think Dumbledore is still alive, yes, im a nerd.

It's hard to argue with that logic, although, at the beginning of half-blood prince, didn't Snape make the 'Unbreakable Vow' whereas he has to help Draco accomplish the task set upon him, which we find out is to kill Dumbledore. The result of failing to follow the Unbreakable Vow is death and certainly Snape did not die. In this case it proceeds to lead us to believe that Dumbledore really is dead. You indeed make a very good point, but this is my opinion on the matter, but I do hope your reasoning is the correct one, although it would still be quite interesting to see what happens in the end. I'll be done with that book in a matter of hours, read the first collection in a week. cool.gif

I'm out.
