Twilight.

I decided to see what the hype was all about, so I borrowed the book and in my opinion, it wasn't that great... Every chapter all I kept thinking was, wow people liked this book? To me it was honestly like a thirteen year old girls book... I just couldn't get into it at all.

Overall I'd give it a 4/10.

Your music list has such variety and elegance, I'm surprised you're so narrow. I don't tend to label things with gender, or age, especially not books, because really, they're timeless and nuetral. I think you heard to much about it before you read it, and I think you let it influence you too much. But I'm glad you read it before making an opinion and rating it. There's much to learn about everyone, different, same or elsewhere.

The final novel of Cirque De Freak .. well I don't know if it was the last one they might have made more, but it was a long series omg ..

Was atleast 4-5 years ago sadly, I enjoy reading but just haven't done it as of late.

Well actually I heard mostly good things, like a friend of mine read it and recommended it too me and since we have such similar taste I figured it be quite good.

But I admit I had heard some negative things about it that prolly influenced my opinion some.

Over all I just didn't see what everyone was raving over, I just couldn't connect with the book.

Just out of curiousity, did you happen to read all four- or just the twilight in contrast for the movie?

Because to me, I think alot of the romance was in twilight, well the more playful and teasing side of it anyway. In the rest of the trilogy you read, the story expands. There's more... depth than I imagined at first, and I think the positive part of that aspect is there's no predictability to what happens later from what you read in the first book. What I like about this trilogy is the balance. It's not just a love story between two, or anyhing predictable like that, and it's largely thanks to her developement with Jacob Black. Stephanie Meyer wrote it while picturing it on screen, so thankfully she didn't leave out the comic relief, too bad alot of it didn't make it on screen.

I've read alot of series of alot of genre's. From J.R.R Tolkien, to Tom Clancy, and from Salvatore to even the seven book series of J.k. Rowling. Of all the series, there's nothing quite.. alike the twilight series, sort of like a mixture of romance, and fantasy with a touch of magic.

I only read Twilight, I hadn't given much thought the the remaining serious because I had really only heard a lot of stuff about the first book.

To be honest though I'm not one for a lot of romance I prefer the fantasy and magic aspects of most books. That's not to say that a little romance isn't bad, I just don't really like it when it takes over the story to the point where ever second paragraph is mmm I can't think of the wording... but I hope you know what I mean.

The Wolf King, by Alice Borchardt (Anne Rice's sister). She writes about werewolves like Anne Rice used to write about vampires, but all her books are set in the Dark Ages of Britain, France and Italy. Well...one is set in Rome during Julius Caesar's reign, but the others are anywhere from 250 A.D. to 800 A.D. Very interesting series!
