Musahi - 2 volumes (1800 pages) Awesome book. I read it like there's no tomorrow
LOTR - 3 volumes (1200 i guess) Great book too.

yeah, sure

harry potter and the order of the pheonix has got 1020 pages :)

most books i read are about 800 pages, and they never get boring
you just need a good, entertaining style to write and a very good story ;)

but if you count series too, then there's of course LOTR, harry potter (all of them) and robert newcomb, he has written a 3-book-series of which i don't know the name in english :) but it's quite good
and the Tanaquil - Trilogy from tanith lee, it's about unicorns :)

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand is over 1000 pages, not too sure how long my edition is, but the text is rather small too. Was an alright read, though some bits were absolutely dire, eg the 20+ page speech, which essentially condensed the entirety of the novel.

The Bible, The Koran, The Song of Fire and Ice, the Divine Comedy, The Dragon Lance Chronicles (back to back), The Saga of Seven Suns (Lmtd Edition single bound), War and Peace, LoTR, and HP, if you count that...
