Tolkien Here, On the last 2 chapters of The Return of the King in fact. Go figure.

The LOTR would have been a bazillion times better if Frodo had plunged into the lava and died.

I chose R. A. Salvatore.

Tolkein is a classic and he is great, however his books lack structure and editing, even with Christopher Tolkein.

Garth Nix is great too.

... pardon my poor grammar.... I'm lazy

My fave wuld have 2 be Anne McCafferey, or Christine Feehan.
Anne's Pern series, and Feehan's Carpathian series.

Ive read a few Anne McCaffery books, and i enjoyed them. Cant remember what they were called, but it was something about dragons lol (borrowed from libary, if i had them id know the name.).

uhhh, no. there's 7 books so far, with another 3 to go from Steven Erikson.
He's also writing some short novellas based on certain characters, namely the necromancers Korbal Broach and Bauchelain, noone knows if he'll write any more but I imagine he probably will.
Ian Cameron Esslemont also contributes to the series wtih Night of Knives and the soon to come Return of the Crimson Guard.
I do agree it's the best series though.
