i'm kinda debating if i should get a an e-reader or not.

i really like the physical owning of a book, but I'm guessing an e-book would be so convenient.

I like my nook, and yes, its VERY convenient, and i can do more than just books, i have PDF files on there (including my proof of insurance right now, LOL) and it can be used for very light web browsing and music playback, as well as several little games and other things, its great

Both is an option.

I've got the e-reader function on my iTouch which is on me at all-times with over a hundred books (and access to the public domain with WiFi) and I buy physical books regularly.

e-reading on your phone using an app is nothing compared to using a real e-ink screen, its a poor substitute in every way

The only thing I love about physical books is how cheap you can buy them now for a second hand edition. One thing holding me back is that for me to invest in something like that, I would have to justify that it would save me money in the long run (2-3 years).

I'm already broke, I'll probably have to wait till a kindle/nook drops down to $100-110

Usually I read in long sessions, I'm not one of those types who reads on the bus or commute to school. I think if I used something that could play games/check email/whatever, I wouldn't get any reading done. I'm not strong willed like that ^_^

What are the main differences, besides the obvious one being screen size?

I have a retarded number of books at home. I have a shelf full of the bare necessities at school that I use to get by, mostly theoretical physics and advanced maths references.
Last summer I moved all of my books from one set of shelves to another, and it was roughly fifteen factory shipping crates full, not counting the two shelves I didn't move. If I were to guess at a number, it would be the rough equivalent of three hundred and fifty copies of The Stand.

Right now I have about 400 books on my bookshelves that I've purchased within the last year and I've read about 100...

I have roughly 250-300 books in my reading room to read still. I've also got tons of books I've never read but aren't exactly on the to-read list. They're just whenever to fill time when I'm between sets of books to read.
