I found Angels and Demons by Dan Brown pretty good.
Supposebly the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, but I dunno.

I'm currently reading Deception Point by Dan Brown and it's pretty good.
I've read his books except Digital Fortress which I will read after.

The Time Machine if you haven't read it already for school. Very short and pretty damn good.

Chuck Palahniuk's books. For example: Fight Club, Diary, Lullaby and others.
