I am legend- matheson in 1954. I saw it in a bookstore one day and started reading a couple pages. (like 40, accidentally.

) Good read, but then there a a few short stories afterwards which I never finished or understood connections to

And then also I bought and read the brisingr series just to have a valid say, and I found what I already expected. The first book had really bad pacing for the first maybe 10 chapters. By book 3, it improved, like authors do over time, but still the dialogue... god he's... not good with dialogue. I hated it when he first began to intertwine the two story-line of Roran and Eragon, because the pace was so bad, and it was such a cliffhanger. But then it improved. I was surprised he managed to keep Roran's side interesting enough, (unlike what Salvatore did with Wulfgar and colson

). Anyway, basically the story is intriguing but the dialogue is childish, and furthermore the connections between the characters are loosening, particularly Arya and Eragon, not sure where he's going with it

.
Sword of truth, wheel of time, discworld, are all series I hear about frequently, and like most people I fall prey to curiousity. I expect to give in soon, and find my way to a bookstore on a cloudy day. Perhaps even soon, after the Valentines relief of massive shopping (oh joy). ~
