probably been discussed before, but I recall liking Eragon the book, but omg the movie was TERRIBLE...i went to it a month after it opened and the theater was empty, me and my friend just sat there and made fun of it the whole time...horrible acting, horrible script, horrible...everything man, I can't even describe it. anyone else feel that way? i mean the HP movies cheapened the books a bit, but at least they were better than egaron...ouchy.

vouch

movie was good in its own sense, but if you read the book, you realize it should be called something different, because it ISNT anywhere neer the book, the actors dont seem anything like what you would expect them to be, i mean, horst, eragon, brom, roran, they all look and seem wrong to me, and the elves are represented horribly, the final battle is TOTALLY off, the inside of the mountain is WRONG

its just bad

and you miss out on so much from the book

ya

I read the book AFTER watching the movie. Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be as the book was wayyy better than the movie. I was expecting events to happen that did happen but in completely different ways.

The movie could have been improved, it looks like they might of been on budget.. sleep.gif

book > movie =/

the movie reminded me of narnia's movie -- little kid in full suit of armor looooooooool biggrin.gif
it doesnt work, and when he casts spells he makes it laughable in the movie

some things are better read than filmed because we all have our own picture of it, and usually the director's version doesn't coincide with it
though the LOTR movies were a pretty good shot happy.gif

I thought the movie was really good... until the end, that is. It had a terrible ending. I was like wtf? It's over? cuz it was so abrupt, and I thought there'd be at least 30 minutes more or something...

Other than the ending, I thought the movie was good overall.

But I've never read the book, so maybe that's why I liked the movie more than you guys did... oh well... I'm going to have to read the book.

The movie was worthless derivative drivel and so was the book. The only reason his plagiarizing ass got published was because someone saw dollar signs with the "WRITTEN BY A 15 YEAR OLD BOY!" marketing. George Lucas should SO sue his ass. As should Tolkien. (than again, there is a LONG line of fantasy authors that Tolkien could sue)

movie was horrible..

the book was absolutely amazing, but in the eyes of a person watching the movie that didn't read the book, they did a good job...

but in the book-lover wanting to see the book portrayed as a movie... Failure.

The book is always better. I watched the first 20 mins or so of Eragon the movie and was pissed off by how much it didn't follow the book and I stopped.
